Gonna.surf now covers all Canary Islands with the launch of Tenerife forecasts

Less than 1 minute read. Last update: 24 Jul 2025.

We’ve just rolled out high-resolution surf forecasts for Tenerife, marking a major milestone in the journey of gonna.surf. With this release, we now cover all the surfable Canary Islands: Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and now Tenerife.

Tenerife's 16 featured spots include Almáciga, Las Américas, El Médano, Bajamar, and more. For each spot, we provide a visual, high-resolution forecast, plain-language descriptions of the surf conditions, and concise info on location, break type, and hazards.

As always, local and secret spots are excluded out of respect for the communities and the need to avoid overcrowding.

This release also includes a surf guide for Tenerife, with a general overview, spot map, info on how the island’s geography and weather affect waves, and tips for planning your surf trip.

It’s a good moment to pause and appreciate what this means: after years of work, we now offer complete coverage across the Canaries. Before turning to mainland Spain and beyond, we’ll shift our focus to the forecast experience itself. Some fresh ideas are already in the works—new ways to read the ocean, a smoother app experience, and something special we’ve been quietly building for a while.
