Gonna.surf is a website and a mobile app ("Progressive Web App" technology) developed by Mehdi El Fadil - 'Autonomo' freelancer based in the Canary Islands, Spain. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how it is used.
Gonna.surf does not sell or rent users' information under any circumstances, and we do not share user information without prior consent except as compelled by law. Gonna.surf is located within Spain, and uses Internet technology hosted within the European Union.

We host our own copy of Plausible analytics software in our servers, so the company developing plausible has no access to the analytics data collected.
Booking services from partners
Gonna.surf does not offer any commercial services directly but connects its users to third-party partners such as surf schools or photographers.
What data do we collect?
The following information is collected whenever a gonna.surf user requests to book services from a partner:
- Your name
- Your phone number or email address
- Details about your booking request: place, date, options desired
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Gonna.surf with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you fill up booking request forms in the gonna.surf website and app.
No other sources are used to get data about you..
How do we use your data?
Gonna.surf collects your data so that we can:
- Send your booking request to the selected partner
- Possibly contact you in order to collect your feedback regarding the service provided by our partner
Your data is not sent to any other organization than the one you selected.
How do we store your data?
Gonna.surf securely stores your services booking request data in our own web server hosted in Germany, using state-of-the-art protection.
The bookking request is sent by email to the photographer, using a third-party email management provider: mailgun. Mailgun is a data processor under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, while gonna.surf is the data controller. See the Mailgun's GDPR compliance and EU data protection for full details.
Supporting gonna.surf with the 'donate' feature
Users of gonna.surf have the possibility to make a donation to support gonna.surf.
The payment process is handled by a third-party payment provider. If you choose to donate, the billing information and the payment process is handled by Stripe. See the Stripe Privacy Policy for full details.
What data do we collect?
The following information is visible to us on the Stripe website whenever a donation is made:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your country
- Amount of the donation
- Details about the payment: last four digits of the card used to perform the payment, expiration date, issuing bank, type of card, country
How do we collect your data?
You provide the data through the payment processor Stripe when making the donation.
No other sources are used to get data about you..
How do we use your data?
Gonna.surf might use your contact details to send you a thank you email.
We might provide the donor's name and payment amount by email to our accountant for tax declaration purposes.
Your data is not sent to any other organization.
How do we store your data?
We do not copy or store any of the personal information made available on Stripe on our IT systems.
What are your data protection rights?
Gonna.surf would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access – You have the right to request Gonna.surf for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
- The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Gonna.surf correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Gonna.surf to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
