This forecast covers the Western half of the North shore, which is pretty exposed to swells and winds coming from the North and the West. Several spots are suitable for intermediates to advanced level surfers:

  • Punta Blanca is an intermediate surf spot with a mellow wave. Checkout Punta Blanca Essentials spot guide for details.
  • La Derecha (aka German's right) requires a higher level, with more than 300 m to paddle to reach the peak, and strong currents.
  • Punta Gorda is an advanced / local surf spot. It has strong currents, a shallow reef and easily get crowded. Do not go there unless you know what you are doing.
  • El Hierro is only suitable to advanced surfers as well.
