This might be the largest release of gonna.surf so far, ready right in time for the beginning of the surf season. Two highlights: forecast is now available for the South of the island, and the recommendation system is now much more accurate and reliable. Here's a list of the main changes below, and we go more in detail in a separate article introducing the new features.

Features
- The surf spots in the Center and in the South of Fuerteventura are now available. In total, 20 spots are now available on gonna.surf.
- The surf forecast is presented per spot, instead of per area.
- Even when we don't have a spot guide for a given spot, some basic information about it is presented (directly inside the forecast page).
- The colored recommendations system has been rebuilt. It is now much better at interpreting the combination of swells and wind conditions, and assessing how good the surf is likely to be.
- A new way of presenting an overview of the conditions in multiple locations at a time is now in place in the home page.
- Wind swell is now always displayed, so that you know if you can count on wind waves whenever there is no surfable ground swell.
- It is now possible to view the forecast from the past days.
- Under the hood, the way how we manage forecast data has been reorganized, so that we're ready to add extra locations.
- New visual identity: Gonna.surf has a new logo, new color scheme, and a new font.
- The surf report creation tool has been removed, as the feature was barely ever used.

As surf is becoming increasingly popular globally, and the spots tend to get more and more crowded, having a good understanding about how to behave in the water, and respecting the surf etiquette is crucial. Many surfers are not much aware about these, causing tension in the line-up, and sometimes accidents. Surf can and should be fun and safe for all, this is why we find it important to share knowledge and promote safe behaviour in the water.

We've been busy this summer. The initial plan was to publish a bunch of visual spot guides, and features to let visitors book a surf class. directly from the website. After a quick check, it turned out that the surf camps and surf instructors don't really need yet another booking platform. So we're focusing on publishing educational content. Oh, and we've also made some 'under-the-hood' changes which help us provide a better user experience.
